Techiyah of Harlem

Founded in June 2005, Techiyah is an independent egalitarian Jewish community in Harlem, New York where women and men come to pray and learn; explore, celebrate and grapple with Jewish tradition; work for social justice; and discuss a variety of Jewish topics.

We are always looking for new people to participate and take up leadership roles.  Interested in planning a program, leading a service, hosting a potluck in your home or just attending?

Please contact us for location:  HarlemJews@Yahoo.com

****Babies and children are welcome at our minyan.

Techiyah is Hebrew for rebirth or renaissance so the name fits for a new, traditional, egalitarian, Friday night minyan/potluck meeting about once a month in Harlem, a neighborhood that once had a lot of Jews and to which Jews are once again returning.

-There are plenty of Non-Davening activities. Email Us for information.
